One of the first spontaneous attack spells developed was the energy beam. Whereas the firewave delivers widespread damage over a rather short distance this spell concentrates the power into a sharply defined beam of energy, which reaches out farther and does more damage. But in these early times, sorcerers were not already that familiar with such a concentration of power and thus the spell's effect is somewhat unreliable.
Being a destructive spell, the early magicians kept their knowledge to themselves, and the magic conclave continues to do so. Thus, the spell may only be purchased by sorcerers for 1000 gold coins.
You need to have a magic level of at least 10 to cast this spell, and it takes 100 mana. |
