Whereas the normal light spell is quite sufficient for normal conditions, it was soon accepted that in certain cases a brighter and longer lasting light was needed. This was the case in the more dangerous dungeons and when hostile creatures tended to hide in the dark corners and shoot at the adventurers from this place of vantage.
Like the normal light spell, this one was made available to all vocations for 500 gold coins in order to aid them in their struggles.
