With this awesome spell the spellcaster is able to call a creature to do his bidding. While weak creatures drain the spellcaster quite a bit, the power needed to summon stronger creatures is enormous. To the surprise of the magic conclave some creatures proved to be resistant to summoning. The reason of this phenomenon is still under investigation. The amount of mana needed varies with the creature summoned. Thus, only a handful of powerful sorcerers and druids are able to summon a dragon, which demands over 800 mana.
The spell is popular in tournaments but also has its uses in fighting creatures that are usually above the spellcaster's abilities to confront. It is available only to druids and sorcerers for 2000 gold coins, but some paladins penetrated the secret of this spell and are thus able to cast it, too.
You need to have a magic level of at least 16 to cast this spell. |
